Prescott Gun Club’s Tactical Rifle Course 200 focuses on basic safety rules, tactical shooting positions, reloading techniques, how to use a sling, and live fire drills such as close quarter encounters, controlled pairs, engaging multiple targets, movement drills, and firing from cover. This is a 5 to 6-hour, comprehensive course with instruction provided over two weekdays or, if offered, one full day on Saturday or Sunday.
The equipment and supplies required for this class are eye and ear protection, a military style rifle, three (3) 20 or 30-round magazines, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier, a three-point or single-point sling, closed toed shoes or boots, 200 to 300 rounds of ammunition, and knee pads (optional but highly recommended).
Firearms may be rented at no cost. However, if you use a rented firearm, you will need to purchase Prescott Gun Club ammunition. Rifles, eye protection, ear protection, ammunition, kneepads, magazines and magazine pouches are available for purchase at Prescott Gun Club.
Prerequisite(s): Pre-approved personal shooting experience accepted by the course instructor or successful completion of the Introduction to Rifles 100 course.
