Prescott Gun Club’s Advanced Shooting Skills Semi-Auto & Revolver Course focuses on the more complex movements required in defensive shooting. This class is a 4 to 6-hour, comprehensive course. This class includes classroom work, hands-on dry fire practice and live fire drills. Our focus will be on firearm safety, proper methods to draw from the holster, accuracy when shooting the first shot from the holster, multi-round shots and follow-through, appropriate sight alignment in sight picture at various target distances, basic reloading techniques, and basic malfunction clearances.
The equipment and supplies required for this class are eye and ear protection, at least 300 rounds of ammunition for the firearm you will be using.
– A semi-automatic pistol with three magazines, a spare single or double magazine carrier, and a strong side quality holster (no shoulder holsters).
– A revolver with four speed loaders and speed loader carriers, and a strong side quality holster (no shoulder holsters).
Firearms may be rented at no cost. However, if you use a rented firearm, you will need to purchase Prescott Gun Club ammunition. Firearms, eye protection, ear protection, holsters, and ammunition are available for purchase at Prescott Gun Club. (This course qualifies you for your CCW certification)
Prerequisite(s): Pre-approved personal shooting experience accepted by the course instructor or successful completion of the Fundamental Shooting Skills Semi-Auto & Revolver Course 200.
